Steel trusses
Long spans and arched roofs, detailed with the frame around them and fabricated in our Aurora shop.
Trusses drawn with the frame around them.
A steel truss is a frame of its own: chords, webs and connections that all have to match the building they sit in. When the same company details the truss and the structure that supports it, the connections get drawn together.
GIW provides steel trusses as part of our Division 5 scope. Our project photos show what that looks like on real jobs, from the arched roof trusses at Bradley University to the long-span arched framing of a hangar at the Rockford, IL airport.
Truss members go through the same CNC saws, drill line and AWS-certified welders as the rest of your steel, and our erection team sets them with the frame.
