Structural steel fabrication
A 32,000 sq. ft. CNC shop in Aurora. We take jobs from about one ton to over 1,000 tons and have the capacity for more than 5,000 tons a year.
From raw steel to shipped pieces.
Fabrication is the core of what we do. Beams, plate and angle come in raw; finished pieces leave cut, drilled, coped, punched and welded to the shop drawings.
Every major operation on our floor runs under CNC control. The machines take their data straight from the computer-generated shop drawings, so the Peddinghaus band saws, the PCD 1100 drill line, the FPB 1800 plate processor and the Anglemaster all work from the same numbers.
On the floor today
- Two Peddinghaus 1250 band saws with 50" capacity, plus an Ellis 3000 band saw
- Peddi-Bot 1250 ST robotic CNC thermal beam processing
- PCD 1100 drill line with a 5-station tool changer and high-speed carbide drilling
- FPB 1800 plate processor: plasma plus 3 hydraulic punches, plate up to 1-1/4" thick and 6'-0" wide
- Peddinghaus Anglemaster AFCPS 623 and a Piranha P-90 ironworker
- One 20-ton and four 10-ton bridge cranes, with tandem 20-ton picks
All of our welders are certified by the American Welding Society, and we run nondestructive tests in the shop when contract specifications call for them. See the full equipment list.
